Earlier today, Toms River Township Purchasing Agent released Proposal 2025-145, Provision of Animal Control Services, with responses due by January 14, 2025. Let’s not forget that in 2024 Toms River Council declined to contract with A-Academy Termite & Pest Control of Howell, NJ, however Mayor Rodrick and Business Administrator used their services under the name Western Pest Services who acquired A-Academy in 2022…in 2022!!! A-Academy still operates a website and has been responding to Animal Control calls for Toms River since the Toms River Animal Shelter was closed on June 6, 2024. Officially A-Academy was not approved by Council to provide these services.
