Attorney William Burns on behalf of the Toms River Board of Education and Superintendent, issued a letter today putting Marisa Matarazzo & Diane Oxley, the “TR Students First” team for Board of Education for their false and defamatory statements in a recent letter. In a letter addressed to “Fellow Taxpayers,” which they signed, they stated “The Toms River School Board voted on June 18th to support a 9.9% tax increase” and “While our school taxes continue to rise, educational programs, sports and extracurricular activities continue to be cut.” These are false statements and the attached letter characterizes the truth. These candidates are supported by Mayor Daniel Rodrick.
