Council Vice President Lynn O’Toole heard enough last night and walked off the council. Not her first time, we should make it her last!
Once again, at last night’s Toms River Council Meeting, Council Vice-President stood up and walk out of the meeting, no “excuse me” and no reason! According to Robert’s Rules of Order, if a council member needs to leave a meeting early, they should simply announce their departure to the chair, as there is no specific motion required to leave a meeting mid-session; however, it’s considered courteous to inform the chair of their intention to leave so the meeting can proceed smoothly. The problem is that Toms River Council meetings are run according to RODRICK’S RULES OF CHAOS…sad for Toms River!
