DANIEL RODRICK IS UNFIT TO TEACH & UNFIT FOR MAYOR
On January 27, 2025 the Middletown Township Board of Education convened a closed executive session to discuss the Tenure Charges and Sworn State of Evidence against Daniel Rodrick, an employee of the Township; Teacher at Thorne Middle School. The outcome was that there is probably cause to credit the evidence in support the charges and that such charges are sufficient to warrant dismissal. The determination to certify the Tenure Charges and Sworn Statement of Evidence to Commissioner of Education was made by a unanimous vote of the entire membership of the Middletown Township Board of Education and it was determined that Mr. Rodrick was to be suspended without pay for 120 days, through May 27, 2025. These charges were then forwarded to the New Jersey Department of Education.
Below are 2 documents that outline the investigation and evidence against Daniel Rodrick dating back to June 11, 2012 and clearly display Daniel Rodrick’s disrespect for authority; disregard for rules; lack of judgment; and disgusting action that he displayed in Middletown Township, that is consistent with his behavior in Toms River since first elected in 2017 as councilman and now as mayor of Toms River since January 1, 2024. Also provided is a video of a October 24, 2022 occurrence when Daniel Rodrick violated school policy #4281 – Inappropriate Staff Conduct for, as stated by Principal of Thorne Middle School, Shannon Smith, “exposing your chest and stomach by lifting your shirt up when entering the wing eating contest in the presence of students and staff in the gymnasium.” Whether you agree or disagree or find the exposure of one’s chest and stomach in a school as acceptable, it violates school policy and Daniel Rodrick must be held responsible and the school administration must protect the students and staff.
A quick summary of actions since 2012:
