It is our civic duty to vote…so be heard! Toms River residents who are concerned about the direction of Toms River and specifically the ultimate power and reckless nature of a mayor who has puppets on the Township Council, do you think it is time to change the form of government in Toms River? In 2002 Toms River changed to a Faulkner Act, Mayor-Council form of government with 4 Wards and 3 at-large Council people, plus a strong mayor. Is it time to go to a Municipal Manager Act form of government with 3, 5, 7 or 9 Council Members, all at-large with staggered terms and the Council elects the Mayor? This would cut the legs off the mayor and make all council seats equal. Any thoughts?
