The Board of Education of Toms River Regional Schools District has demanded that Mayor Daniel Rodrick cease and desist from any further publication or dissemination of the words he has used in a recent letter to the taxpayers of Toms River Township and publish an immediate retraction of the words in a notice to all residents of Toms River Township. Late in September, Mayor Rodrick enclosed a letter with the tax bills that contained the statement “However, the Toms River School Board voted on June 18th to support a 9.9% tax increase” which is false and defamatory. School Board attorney William Burns’ included the TRUTH and facts about the actions of the Toms River Board of Education and Administration in the September 30, 2024 letter that is provided in its entirety below. Mayor Rodrick has done enough harm to depress the quality of life in Toms River, he needs to keep his ideas and hands out of the schools in Toms River.
