While Phil Stilton of Shore News Network continues to lie on behalf of Daniel Rodrick and publish articles to defame the America First Republicans for Toms River and the former Mayor Mo Hill, Phil Stilton finds himself in hot water with the attorneys for Meridia Toms River 40 Urban Renewal, LLC. Meridia Toms River 40 Urban Renewal, LLC filed a ten-count Complaint against Toms River Township, Daniel Rodrick, Peter Pascarella and others following the Toms River Township Council’s repeal of the Downtown Redevelopment Agreement and Development agreements with Meridia. In documents reviewed and provided below, Shore Media & Marketing LTD has failed to appear and comply with a Subpoena to provide testimony and documents. The Subpoena asked for “copies of any and all communications (including, but not limited to, text messages, emails and correspondences) exchanged between you (Phil Stilton) and the Township or the Mayor during the Relevant Period relating to Plaintiff, the Redevelopment Plan, the Redevelopment Agreement, the Project, the Property, or proposed or ongoing redevelopment in the Township.” Wow, this could be a big file!
The attached document, dated May 7, 2025, did not stop Shore News Network from their current misleading and lie filled article, that will be very interesting to the attorneys and cost Toms River more money in legal fees. For example, the article states “controversial 10-story apartment development” that was really only 6 stories and most importantly, no Councilman, Candidate or even Mayor, can make any decisions or take any action on the Redevelopment of Downtown Toms River, it is in the hands of the attorneys and the Judge and may remain there for years to come based upon the millions of dollars at stake, since the Plaintiff expended more than $3,200,000 prior to litigation. Toms River attorneys keep getting richer at the expense of the tax payers and Shore News Network continues to get paid by Daniel Rodrick at the cost of the tax payers of Toms River.
Actually under NJ land use law based on other development in the area with the Ocean First headquarters the 1970s what used to be the Observer building the multiple apartment buildings in the area there’s no way in hell just on that alone can deny that project. Now add the fact that Toms River Township sold the property to that developer for that very project then illegally denied the project constitutes a fraud. Toms River Township will absolutely lose this case costing the taxpayers multi millions in costs. Granted there are better uses for this land but no one else came forward and what happened to the businesses in that plot was disgraceful but that was that property owners decisions not the Township. But at this point the Township should for the sake of the taxpayers because of the already approved agreements I believe has no choice but to let this project continue and pay the damages it caused. I was living in that Township when this was first being discussed and opposed it but it’s passed that now. The only thing accomplished for now breaking laws and sales agreements is just bleeding the taxpayers multi millions of dollars. It’s time to get these lunatics out of office not to mention the other lunacy going on and get some responsible people in office. Make Toms River sane again.
Appreciate the input and clear information. Going to need to share without source. Thanks
