Toms River has Less Police on the Job Under Daniel Rodrick

All in all, on January 1, 2024, the Toms River Police Department had 165 officers on the job (on the streets with guns, not Class 1 or other special officers) and on January 1, 2025, the Toms River Police Department has 157 officers on the job…that is 8 less officers, when Daniel Rodrick continues to say “we have more boots on the ground.” All of this is according to an OPRA request of the Toms River Police Department (P002283-020425) and attached with “yellow highlights” for the promotions and “red highlights” depicting the number of officers.

Once again, Daniel Rodrick is not putting public safety as a priority for the residents of Toms River and Council members such as Council President Justin Lamb, Council Vice President Craig Coleman, Councilwoman Lynn O’Toole and now Councilman Bill Byrne say they will continue to support Daniel Rodrick – well the time has come to replace them all!
