Why is Mayor Rodrick Closing Toms River? Ask Him on June 26 at 7PM at the Township Council Meeting

On June 6, 2024 Mayor Daniel Rodrick closed the Toms River Animal Shelter stating “it is closed for construction.” Less than a week earlier he and Business Administrator Salonis were saying they must turn operations over to the County because the township can’t afford – LIES! Also a week earlier the Township Clerk certified that over 3,079 signatures were secured on a petition to protect the transfer of the animal shelter to the County – sounds like someone was not happy with the residents of Toms River.

On June 20, 2024, Mayor Rodrick laid off the Director of Youth Services and on Monday, June 24th, Youth Services was removed from the Township Website Directory – What the heck is up? The proposed budget presented less than a month earlier included $310,000 in salary and wages and $12,000 in other expenses and now it’s closed. Why?

We the Residents of Toms River Deserve Answers – so come out on June 26 at 6PM for a Rally for the Animal Shelter followed by the Council Meeting at 7PM.
