Daniel Rodrick Continues to Not Care About Public Safety in Toms River

This past weekend, especially with the weather, there were a lot of automobile accidents and additional health events that required response by Toms River EMS. Daniel Rodrick came into office with a bang in 2024, cutting Toms River Police Department positions and stating he is going to reduce EMS response time and put more “boots on the ground” to help the residents of Toms River. In June, 2025 in a letter “From Mayor Daniel T. Rodrick” he stated “One of the first things I did as mayor was to hire dozens of EMTs and we doubled the number of ambulances on the road. We have a strong record on public safety.” With our police force down about 22 officers, we decided to revisit this topic and guess what…Daniel Rodrick is lying!! The attached file was produced on November 26, 2025 as requested by OPRA listing all current EMS officers…21 total (not separating full-time or part-time) of which 8 have been hired since January 1, 2024. We know Daniel Rodrick no longer teaches and his teaching career was not successful, but in our book “dozens of EMTs” is more than 8!

Toms River Deserves Better! We support the Recall of Daniel Rodrick – go to Recall Daniel Rodrick.
