Toms River Taxpayer Newspaper Delivers More Rodrick Lies

On August 1, 2025 the new version of the Toms River Bulletin, produced by Daniel Rodrick and his media circus hit the mailboxes of the residents of Toms River. First, notice the top right corner of the cover page where is says “FREE;” there is nothing FREE about this paper as it is paid 100% by the TAXPAYERS OF TOMS RIVER. Aside from the fact that it is wasted tax monies (amount to be determined following receipt of the invoices via an OPRA request) but it is filled with lies and propaganda, not FACTS or important information for the residents of Toms River. Ask yourself, it was in your mailbox on Friday, August 1, 2025 and one of the cover stories was “New Ordinance Creates Easier Path for Veterans to Become Police Officers” and states “approved by Council.” The vote happened on Wednesday night, July 30, 2025 – so Rodrick knew his puppets on Council would not let him down and he even knew their vote because HE TOLD THEM HOW TO VOTE AND THEY LISTEN.

For today, we are not going to discuss the change in the police requirements, but rather the article entitled “Mayor Houses Downtown Homeless – Criticizes County Soup Kitchen & Media.” Why will we question, because Rodrick lies and we went to the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, since the Toms River Municipal Clerk Steven Hensel could not or would not provide proper responses to our OPRA requests. Daniel Rodrick has stated he took “proactive measures to address homelessness in Downtown Toms River, securing emergency housing vouchers from the State Department of Community Affairs, led by Jacqueline Suarez.” By the following response, no such action has occurred between Daniel Rodrick and his senior staff and NJDCA, including Commissioner Jacqueline Suarez. See below OPRA Response.

Furthermore the grant referenced in the email provided to CSPNJ was applied for and award in 2024 for use in Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Morris, Ocean, Salem and Warren County. The actions to house the homeless in Toms River we handled by CSPNJ as per their grant with NJDCA and in cooperation with Ocean County, not Daniel Rodrick or Toms River and he did not secure or arrange any funding to assist the homeless. Grant award attached below but please, rely on FACTS not Daniel Rodrick’s lies!
